Helen had some wonderful quotes. She was truly an inspirational person. Do you know much about her?

She so was! I was first introduced to her remarkable journey by one of my aunts when I was in grade 4 and she has stayed with me ever since. I read her autobiography when i was little older and had written down in my journal (back then) her sayings…I am still in awe of her courage and everything that she stood for.

That journal must be a precious memory of your youth? I too discovered Helen Keller through books around that same age. Did you see the movie?

Yes it truly is Amanda! And i did see the movie….it was beautiful..wasn’t it? And back in India, they made one in Hindi too, inspired by her life which was not as great but I felt it did a good job capturing the essence of her story..name of that movie was Black.

Interesting title. I notice they often change the title of the Scandinavian movies when they are translated or subtitled and released in the English speaking world. The Stig Larsson Trilogy for example. The title fo the first movie was The Men Who Hate Women in Swedish and in English it was changed to The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

That’s a good point, Amanda! I really liked the trilogy…very well made. Have you read the books? I haven’t but I have heard they are rather good…not much was lost in adaptation. Would you agree?
